The launch of the 2020 educational offer of YACademy is the right moment to narrate some of the experiences the students had before starting their collaborations with the main characters of the contemporary architectural world. Namely, some designers attending the course in Architecture for Exhibition in 2018 had the opportunity to support the design team of Carlo Ratti Associati to refine the project for “The Mile”, an innovative project for a mile-tall skyscraper.

With the development of trend and fashion, the media has become more and more diversified in images. Under this background, more photographers of different styles have appeared. Liu Zongyuan, a famous Chinese photographer, is one of them.
The project is located next to the Elephant Lake Wetland Park, which is representative of the natural landscape of Nanchang. The Elephant Lake Wetland Park provides a quality natural site base for the project and the overall design was inspired by these natural qualities. The design concept of the architecture is not only to see the wetland as a “view” of the surrounding area, but also to bring its natural qualities into the project, creating a spatial experience where the building and the landscape blending together. The design consists of three natural elements, water, earth and sky, corresponding to three functional areas: the front square, the commercial facilities and the observation tower.
