The initial brief for this farmhouse project on the north Norfolk coast was focused on converting the stables into level accommodation for the client’s wheelchair-bound father. As we progressed and studied how this operated with the rest of the building mass several impediments and issues were found, primarily focusing on the access, use, and vistas, thus this project grew to encompass multiple demolitions, new extensions, and a general reorganization of the ground plan.

Atelier L’Abri introduces Territoire Charlevoix, a singular concept of experiential camping set in the Canadian wilderness. The vast forest site is located inland between La Malbaie and Baie-Saint-Paul. The remote location offers spectacular panoramic views of the magnificent Charlevoix region of Quebec and its infinite landscape.

Buitenverblijf Nest / NAMO Architecture + i29 architects

At the national park, the Hoge Veluwe (NL) lies an artistic incubator in the middle of nature: Buitenplaats Koningsweg. Dozens of artists and creative entrepreneurs live and work on this former barracks site. As part of a special project by the municipality of Arnhem, 11 follies in the woods have been developed here as holiday stays. The central theme of the project is ‘camouflage’, about the history of the site.

Merkurhuset Offices / Olsson Lyckefors Arkitektur

The design of Merkurhuset was largely influenced by the conditions of the zoning plan, as well as the irregular shape and limited area of the plot. As a result of the maximum allowed building height, the outer wall of the top floor was angled, resembling a studio window. By allowing the intermediate pillars to rise through the glass, the building obtained its signature look.

La Granjilla is a small urbanization located north of the metropolitan area of Madrid, promoted in the 1960s by Juan Banús. From an environmental point of view, the most remarkable feature is the dense mass of pine trees that covers it, in contrast to the completely clear landscape of farmland that surrounds it.

In the new Werksviertel located in the east of Munich, where mashed potatoes, motorcycles and men’s suits were once manufactured and party people were out and about in Kunstpark Ost and Kultfabrik, a new urban neighborhood providing a high level of social diversity is currently under construction. Prominently situated with a view opening towards the Ostbahnhof station, the striking iCampus Rhenania complex of office buildings invites passersby into the neighborhood.

TRAMO is Proyectos Conscientes’ second initiative in Madrid after Mo de Movimiento, to further explore the company’s foundational purpose: redefining the concept of urban recreation and promoting responsible consumption. TRAMO is a project led by the architecture studio Selgascano and designer Andreu Carulla. Walking alongside them is a professional team consisting of bioengineer Ismael Caballero, an expert in comprehensive sustainability and circularity, Cristina Freire (TheNext Sustainability), and Zimenta Obras y Proyectos.
