Hannae Forest of Wisdom is not a cultural space generated by a big public development project. It was initiated by the idea of a creative space, where people enjoy to inhabit and willing to come back every day. Therefore we improved an abandoned urban space into a unique and attractive space with creative ideas. Development Order is as follow: 1) Requested by Nowon-gu Office as part of the community project 2) There were several options for the site, and through investigation and site analysis, an abandoned fountain space in a neighborhood park was selected 3) Opinion gathered through public hearing 4) Design and development 5) Construction 6) Completion 7) Local committee operates the library, café, and after-school learning class Urban regeneration in Seoul is no longer focused on the city-scale projects that transforms the entire block or the part of the city.

This project comes from the necessity of the whole of the Jewish Community in Mexico to keep and preserve its history in a safe and public place. Built on a small area beside the existing 1930´s Rodfe Sedek Synagogue in the resurgent Colonia Roma in Mexico City, the new building serves as the pathway to enter the old, which gains a new purpose functioning as a museum and a library of documents that show relevant information about the Jewish culture, especially in Mexico.

In present-day Hanoi, Vietnam, people tend to create small landmarks in their homes, including the placement of fish ponds, which may be small aquariums or Koi ponds with higher investment. In addition, the situation of vegetable contaminants in the city also causes the desire to plant fresh vegetables right in resident homes became imperative. Nowadays, many families organize planting vegetable at home, however, mostly following spontaneous methods, without a strategic planning or architectural aesthetics. These are vegetable foam boxes that are placed in a narrow space in the house, or in the garden area of the balcony and top terrace.

Michael K. Chen Architecture (MKCA) has designed the new Children’s Library at Concourse House: Home for Women and Their Children, a Bronx-based shelter that serves women with young children under the age of nine who are transitioning out of homelessness. Established in 1991, Concourse House works to eliminate homelessness by providing families with safe, stable, transitional housing, coupled with a range of social services and programming to help those families transition into permanent housing.
