The Expansion of the main terminal building of Athens International Airport (AIA) was instigated by the new European Security Regulatory Framework enforced in 2019, in order to cover a critical increase in Extra Schengen’s operational needs. The terminal building, approx. 168.000 sqm and almost 800m in length, had to extend by an additional 10% to cover the additional capacity requirements.

This project refers to Sabrab Office. Letting natural light enter in the space was the concept for the development of this space. The space was originally segmented with several work areas and where natural light was none and very dark rooms. The basic idea for the creation was immediately liberated from the whole area, transforming it into an open space.
Happy Panda II is a Chinese restaurant located in the Cumbaya neighborhood of Quito, Ecuador. The project notably features a canopy of colorful lantern-like chandeliers composed of paracord and painted steel tubes. This is the second commission Hou de Sousa has built for the Happy Panda Restaurant Group (the first of which was completed in 2013).
