A small residential complex on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The concept is based on the Curonian architectural style, which inspired the design of a modern village with a small community, maintaining a respectful distance between its members. To express the uniqueness of the location, the architectural design was modeled after a fisherman’s house, featuring large sloped roofs and a rectangular building plan.
A 19-unit housing complex of 25m2 apartments built along the main road in Setagaya, Tokyo. In recent years, there has been a trend in many fields to revisit the idea of possession, replacing it with the rent of a good. Therefore, the subscription plans started spreading in digital and real environments. This new perception of possession radically altered our approach and attachment to the same goods we subscribe for, somehow giving a sense of a shared property with future customers.
Battersea Roof Gardens, a mixed-use building, and 50 Electric Boulevard, an adjacent office building with 200,000 square feet of new workspace, have both been completed. Part of the third phase of the Battersea Power Station masterplan, the two buildings sit on the western side of Electric Boulevard, a split-level high street that runs from the Zone 1 Battersea Power Station Underground station to the Grade II* listed landmark. The new buildings and high street share a gently undulating form, which has been designed to maximize views of the power station. The meandering street offers a wide range of restaurants and shops, receding and expanding at the upper level to create unique vantage points and moments of pause for people as they walk along.
The project is part of the overall development plan for sector 1 of the “Laubis” joint development zone. This was the subject of a “Europan” competition, won by the AR357 urban planning team, and is located on a plot of land on the outskirts of Seilh, not far from the Airbus site and the MEETT, Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Centre. Sector 1 is the beginning of the joint development zone. As “knitting your neighborhood together” is the leitmotiv of urban planners, we proposed a series of strip housing units articulated around a patio during the competition. Sector 1 is divided into several lots: B8, B9, B10/B11, and B12. Lot B8 is being developed by AR357, lots B9, and B12 by the FFFBBB agency, and lot B10/B11 by the TAA agency.
The Scala project is located on the edge of the ZAC Presqu’ile in Grenoble. The plot enjoys a very favorable setting, surrounded by mountains and future buildings. At the corner of Rue de Nantes and Winston Churchill, the plot forms a south-facing “point,” which gives it a distinctive character to be highlighted. The challenge of the project was to take advantage of this exceptional situation by relying on urban prescriptions and organizing volumetrics that can interact with the surrounding and the future buildings along the central traverse of the block.
This 44-story condominium, located directly opposite Central Ladprao, boasts a unique concept called “Hype Valley.” This concept offers a new and adventurous living experience through its signature pool and up to 15 lifestyle facilities. The lobby features a curved ceiling and an impressive sculpture above the entrance hall that mimics the form and pattern of a gorge.
The topic of this project diverges from the usual subjects in the field of architecture. It’s true that prior to this project, we had experienced entering the design and construction process as investors in a small part of a building. However, the motivation for independent construction spurred us to utilize our capabilities via a construction participation contract.
The Botjio house is located on a street where low houses are interspersed with small industrial buildings of the early 20th century. It is a neighborhood within the neighborhood, with a reduced scale.
This project was referred to us at a time when its structure was based on a neoclassical design. The client’s request was to revise the design of the plans and facade in a modern style. This building has 5 residential units with an area of 330 square meters on each floor, one residential unit on the ground floor near the lobby, and three underground floors. According to the existing structure and the implementation of basement ramps in order to provide maximum parking on the mentioned floors, the common areas of the building include a sports space and a communal space with a movable roof on the roof and adjacent to the roof garden.
This 15-story studio apartment is located in Shin Okachimachi, Tokyo. Having old market streets and artisan businesses scattered around, the area has been re-gaining its popularity today. As well as the charming presence of the historical scenes, the site is tightly surrounded by multistory post-war buildings and contemporary developments of apartment and office towers.
