Located on a three-quarter-acre parcel with views of the Las Vegas Strip to the east and Red Rock Canyon to the west, this site endures strong winds, cold, dry winters, and harsh, hot summers with monsoon rainstorms. Protection from the sun and wind, as well as durability and privacy were the simple constraints that shaped the formal direction and materiality of the house.
At the tip of Sundmolen in Copenhagen, BIG’s new 4,488 m2 headquarters stands among warehouses and maritime infrastructure. Completed in the spring of 2024, the HQ is one of the studio’s first realized examples of BIG’s integrated LEAPP approach – a collaboration between BIG’s internal Landscape, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, and Product Design teams. The building is made of Uni-Green concrete developed in close collaboration with Unicon. Located on a narrow pier in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn neighborhood, BIG’s new headquarters is a 27-meter-tall, 7-story structure, anchored in the harbor’s industrial heritage.
A renovation and expansion project that enhances the building’s efficiency while respecting its original designers’ architecture. Designed in the 1950s by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Luigi Fratino, the 12-floor Tower of the Permanente was an addition to the building of the same name, which was designed and built in 1886 by Luca Beltrami, in Via Filippo Turati in Milan. Currently housing the Museo della Permanente, the complex is located in a strategic area on a thoroughfare connecting the city center and the Central Station.
Camberwell Cork House is a natural materials-led rear extension and full refurbishment by Delve Architects. Utilising Cork cladding and insulation, the new home reduces carbon emissions, saves on bills and improves on biodiversity.
In Heidenfahrt, a sustainable, sufficient and inexpensive 108sqm residence was built for a family of 4 in KFW55 standard.

Villa Ruwiel, situated between an old farm and agricultural land with fruit trees, offers a comfortable living space within the asymmetrical and functional silhouette of a traditional barn.
The House / Atelier is a residential / workplace project commissioned by a couple of Designers who elected Porto as the place to raise their family. oitoo found an extremely promising plot with a generous backyard and the rather odd remnants of a building renovation gone awry.
This house is an extension of the larger house on the same site to accommodate guests. Therefore, its functionality is not very complex, but its location next to the garden area of the property was one of our initial considerations. The goal was to blend this building seamlessly into the landscape.
The Lantern House is located in the city of Chlef, 200 km west of the capital city of Algiers. It is situated in a disharmonious urban environment characterized by unfinished constructions due to the lack of urban planning and architectural consulting. This project aims to enhance the deteriorated landscape and demonstrate the potential to transform these unfinished constructions into functional and aesthetically pleasing buildings by using existing resources. The client, who is dissatisfied with his house, has contacted us to benefit from our expertise in building transformation.
As part of the new train line construction between Dakar and Diamniadio, GA2D was chosen to lead the renovation and extension of Dakar train station. This building is a historical monument dating back to 1914.
