Readers are mourning the sudden and unexpected loss of Dezeen’s founder, CEO and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs at the age of 54.

Marcus was a pioneer who changed the architecture and design journalism landscape. Launched in his spare bedroom in 2006, Dezeen has grown to become the world’s most popular and influential online architecture, interiors and design magazine.

Readers are sending their tributes. “Marcus Fairs inspired us and he will be kept alive in our hearts,” wrote one.
