The project aims to provide an office building with flexible spaces for rent for a private investor. The building plot is located in a high-density area in the historical center of the city of Sofia. The area is heterogeneous with buildings predominantly from the beginning to the middle of the 20th century and a variety of architectural styles. The fragmented image of the city is united by the “patina”, the trace that time leaves and gives the organic and warm character of the environment. Meanwhile, the location, which is near the ancient Roman city of Serdikarequires an archeological investigation of the plot. In the course of the archaeological research, the remains of a late antique tomb were discovered, which were subsequently integrated into the project.

The industrial redevelopment project concerns an abandoned production building, constructed in the early 1970s and located along a major industrial and commercial route in Villorba, north of Treviso. The project enabled the establishment of the new headquarters of Dante Negro, a company of master blacksmiths specializing in the production of metal design furniture.

The project Square 1, a pioneering office campus, is being built in Berlin-Johannisthal, not far from Germany’s largest technology park and media centre Adlershof. TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten GmbH gave the go-ahead for the campus development with component B of the project. The two-part building complex with five full storeys, connected by glass bridges, is used by Berliner Sparklasse as its headquarters and is located in the immediate vicinity of the listed Schoeneweide railway depot (Bahnbetriebswerk (Bw)).

The “Taihu Cloud Valley” Digital Industrial Park is located in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou SND, and the project is divided into two phases, and the first phase of the project on the west side of the Fuchun River Road has been completed, with a total construction area of about 490,000 square meters. In the design of “Taihu Cloud Valley” Digital Industrial Park, the correspondence between the use function and the space layout is not a one-to-one correspondence between the specific function and the specific space, but only a kind of correspondence on the logic of thinking, which is to face the “uncertainty” with the “uncertainty”. When the function can not be confirmed, and will be changed at any time, the space can only be faced in a flexible way, facing uncertainty with uncertainty, in order to preset unlimited possibilities in the limited space.

The Hub for Clinical Collaboration is a 17-story academic office tower at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The building is located on the Perelman Plaza, which integrates into the CHOP Philadelphia campus and connects to other buildings with clinical and research functions. Practitioner well-being is integral to providing quality patient care; the new office and administrative building create a collaborative workplace that encourages and supports wellness. The design was informed by rigorous shadowing and a unique research and engagement approach, led by hospital leadership, that put the needs of practitioners at the forefront. Perkins&Will created a highly efficient facility that balances needs for privacy and focus and tends to the day-to-day health, happiness, and comfort of care teams. The resulting spaces enhance collaboration and facilitate community.

As both the residence of our Founding Director, John Matyas, and headquarters for our studio, ‘Matyas Architects & Interiors, Bay Street mixed-use provides a living example of our studio’s approach and John’s 38 years of practice.

The site is located at the southern end of Gwangjin Bridge, on a trapezoidal plot that had long been left undeveloped. The road in front, known as “Cheonho-dong Tool Street,” is somewhat bustling, but once the building is completed, it will offer a picturesque view of the Han River framed by Achasan Mountain. The front and rear roads, with a 3.6-meter elevation difference, allow for easy underground parking without additional excavation. The client decided to build an office on this site, aiming to minimize construction costs and time by utilizing the existing terrain for a quick move-in. Due to the nature of neighborhood commercial facilities, the floor plan was significantly influenced by regulations and economic factors, requiring careful consideration of the façade and material expression.

iFLYTEK AI Headquarters Campus (Phase I)
The iFLYTEK AI Headquarters Campus is located in the Hefei High-tech Zone, covering a total planned area of over 200 acres and an estimated total building area of approximately 400,000 square meters. Once completed, it is expected to accommodate 15,000 industry and research personnel. line+ interprets and modernizes the cultural wisdom of technology enterprises, creating reconfigured spatial types and rich environments that integrate diverse architectural functions and usage scenarios. This sustainable office environment supports the long-term development of iFLYTEK—serving as a city park open to the public, a vibrant creative campus full of youthful energy, and a spiritual home that fosters a sense of belonging for the employees of iFLYTEK.

This project serves as the Tederic International Center, located in Qiantang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China (Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone), bringing together a world-class cluster of smart manufacturing industries. The campus spans a total site area of 33,335 square meters, with a total built-up area of 75,117 square meters. It comprises three buildings and a smart factory. It integrates various functions, including office spaces, hotels, and commercial facilities, capable of accommodating thousands of people for work and daily life. The project aims to strike a new balance between open commercial spaces and enclosed manufacturing factories.
